Hi everyone! I apologize for being quite MIA since school began, but college is crazy and I wanted to update you all on my life a bit.
In August I began my third year of college as a microbiology major. I have recently decided to pick up a molecular genetics minor. Yay science nerd things. My classes and being on my executive board of my sorority has kept me quite the busy bee. However, I am someone that much prefers to be busy than have too much free time. Is anyone else more productive when they are busy?
For those that do not know, I go to THE Ohio State University (yes, we are that extra and I love it). I grew up in Columbus, Ohio, so I am still loving being close to my family as almost all of us are in central Ohio. Some life advice for those of you who don’t live close to home or are in school far away, get close to your parents as you grow up! This summer living at home and even now that I am moved back to school, my parents especially my mom have been my rock through it all. When I started college I did know that I wanted that real college experience and to not go home all the time even though it was so close. I am happy to say that I have been able to learn to function on my own, but also am able to visit for holidays or birthdays easily.
This year I am living in my sorority house for my second year in a row, as a requirement of being on my executive board. Let me tell you that living in a house of 31 girls is an experience. If you are in greek life and have an opportunity like this, you should 100% take it. You are able to become so much more comfortable with people and learn more about yourself. You also are able to make new friends or even find your best friend. Greek life can get a bad rap, but it really did change my life for the better. If you want to know more about my experience in greek life comment down below and I will make a post about it!
Thank you all for keeping up with me and I will be posting more soon!
