Sometimes we could all use some time to ourselves. Maybe something at work is stressing you out or if you’re in school you have a huge exam or paper coming up. You are always more productive when you are less stressed. Here is how I pamper myself!
1.Have a staycation.
There are many many different ways to do this! You can keep yourself at home for the weekend, get a good book, rent a movie, splurge on some online shopping, get take out, and just relax and enjoy being by yourself! Sometime me time is the best time.
2. Face Mask and Tea
I just recently discovered this new skincare brand with the concept BIY or blend it yourself and I am in loooovvee! You get to pick the ingredients in your face mask or use the products on their own and they even have different mini products so you can try them out before your splurge. My favorite tea in the mornings is TAZO early grey with a little honey. At night when I am typing on my computer with my face mask on, I love a good cup of chamomile tea with honey. I always add honey or soy milk to my tea. I like it much better that way than plain!
3. Treat yourself to your favorite food.
This could be a dessert, for me it would be cheesecake. Or you could make or buy your favorite meal. I am a huge steak and potatoes fan and love grabbing takeout from local restaurants!
4. Buy a new candle.
I love soy candles. I find they burn better. A local shop where you can purchase or make your own candles is my favorite! It is called The Candle Lab and love mixing my own scents. The one I am burning right now is ginger ale, papaya, and champagne. Perfect for summer!
5. Take a long hot bath with a good book.
Sometime a bath bomb or some bath salts can do wonders for your day. I usually like to shower first before taking a bath, so that I don’t feel like I am sitting in my own filth. Also, washing your fair is impossible in a bathtub. I also would highly recommend investing in a bath tub tray. This makes it so much easier to read in the tub. Or if you are not a reader, you could listen to a good podcast or watch one of your favorite TV shows. Here is a list of books on my reading list and some of my favorite podcasts:
